Delete Your Account & Data for Connecto: Instant Connection

You can permanently delete your account and personal data at any time, directly from Connecto: Instant Connection. For your security, deletion is a self-service process that we confirm by email before anything is removed.

Delete Your Account (Recommended)

The fastest and most secure way to delete your data is from your account settings. This works in both the mobile app and on the web:

  1. Sign in to Connecto: Instant Connection on the web or in the mobile app
  2. Go to Settings → Account
  3. In the Danger Zone, select Delete Account
  4. Type DELETE to confirm and request deletion
  5. We'll send a verification email to confirm the request
  6. Open the email and click the confirmation link to permanently delete your account

How Verification Works

To make sure only you can delete your account, deletion is a secure, multi-step process:

  1. After you request deletion, you'll receive a verification email with a confirmation link
  2. Click the link in that email to proceed
  3. You may be asked to sign in again to verify your identity
  4. Once verified, your account and personal data are permanently deleted and you're signed out of all devices

The verification link is time-limited and can only be used once. If it expires, simply start the deletion request again from your account settings.

Can't Access Your Account?

If you're unable to sign in to request deletion yourself, you can ask us to delete your data on your behalf:

  1. Send an email to connecto@ibyo.com
  2. Include "Data Deletion Request" in the subject line
  3. Send it from, or include, the email address associated with your account so we can verify ownership
  4. We will verify your identity and process your request within 30 days
  5. You will receive a confirmation email once your data has been deleted

Data That Will Be Deleted

The following data will be permanently deleted:

  • Profile information (name, photos, bio, preferences)
  • Messages and communication history
  • Connection history and matches
  • Account settings and preferences
  • Device information and login history
  • Location data

Data Retention and Exceptions

Some information may be retained for the following periods:

  • Legal compliance records: up to 7 years as required by law
  • Security incident logs: 90 days for safety and security
  • Anonymized usage statistics: retained indefinitely (cannot be linked to individuals)

Note: If you have any active disputes or pending investigations, relevant data may be retained until resolution.

Additional Information

  • Deletion requests cannot be reversed once processed
  • Your data will be completely removed from our active systems
  • Backup data will be automatically purged within 30 days
  • You may need to delete the app separately from your device
  • If you create a new account, your previous data cannot be restored
