5. Platform vs Event Organizer Rights
Your consent grants separate rights to both Connecto (the Platform) and the specific event organizer(s):
5.1 Platform Rights
Connecto may use media for Platform-wide marketing, feature demonstrations, and general promotional purposes. This includes showcasing events hosted on the Platform to attract future organizers and attendees.
5.2 Event Organizer Rights
Event organizers receive independent rights to use media for their own promotional purposes, sponsor fulfillment, and event documentation. Organizers may share media with their sponsors and partners as outlined in their event-specific terms.
5.3 Independence of Rights
Connecto and event organizers exercise their rights independently. Restrictions or modifications requested from one party do not automatically apply to the other.
6. International Use
Media may be used, stored, and distributed globally. By consenting to this Policy, you acknowledge that:
- Media may be transferred to and processed in countries with different data protection laws than your country of residence.
- For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland: This consent serves as the legal basis for processing your image data under GDPR Article 6(1)(a).
- Your rights under applicable data protection laws (such as GDPR, CCPA, or LGPD) remain intact, though the practical exercise of certain rights may be limited by the nature of already-published media.
7. Age Requirements
You must be 18 years of age or older to provide consent under this Policy.
If you are under 18 years of age, you cannot consent to this Media Release. Event organizers may establish separate procedures for obtaining parental or guardian consent for minors. Please contact the specific event organizer if you are a minor seeking to participate in media activities.
By providing consent, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
8. Duration
This consent is perpetual and survives the conclusion of the event. The rights granted under this Policy:
- Have no expiration date.
- Apply worldwide without territorial limitation.
- Continue even if you discontinue use of Connecto or delete your account.
- Remain in effect for media already captured and distributed, even if consent is later withdrawn for future use.
9. No Compensation
You acknowledge and agree that:
- No payment, royalty, or other compensation is due to you for the use of media under this Policy.
- You have no ownership interest in the media or any materials created using your image or likeness.
- Connecto and event organizers may monetize content containing your image without obligation to share revenue.
- You waive any claims for compensation related to the use of your image, likeness, voice, or name as permitted by this Policy.
10. Voluntary Participation
Your consent to this Media Release Policy is entirely voluntary:
- Not Required for Attendance: You may attend events without consenting to media release, though your participation in certain activities may be limited.
- Opt-Out Available: You may decline to provide consent during registration.
- On-Site Options: At physical events, you may request a "no photo" indicator (such as a colored badge sticker) from event staff, where available.
- Best Efforts: While we make reasonable efforts to honor no-photo requests, we cannot guarantee exclusion from all crowd shots or incidental captures.
