About this event

Hack Arizona is partnering with the Arizona Hub for Agricultural Innovation to host the AgX Arizona Summit and bring student builders and Arizona agriculture together. Arizona farms operate under some of the toughest conditions in the country: shrinking water supplies, extreme heat, fragile soils, and rising energy costs. Growers, ranchers, and researchers face these challenges every season, and they need people who can build. In one fast-paced day, teams will have 7 hours to design and prototype solutions to real problems from Arizona's agricultural community. The challenges stay under wraps until kickoff, so everyone starts on equal footing. The best teams will pitch their work at the AgX Summit to producers, industry leaders, researchers, and policymakers from ASU, the University of Arizona, and NAU. Who Should Join Developers, designers, data scientists, engineers, and anyone curious about agriculture. No farming experience is needed; mentors from the field will help you understand the problem. What You Get - Real problem statements, revealed on the day of the event - Mentorship from industry and university experts - Meals, swag, and connections with Arizona's agtech community
